Well what can I say, slept like a log and eventhough they had a party here last night it went without incident as far as I can tell. I am sitting in the reception waiting for the tour group to get together for the days tour out to the Grand Canyon. It is a all day tour at a cost of $ 70.00 Cheapest tour in town. Even the bussed transport by the council is $45.00 each way. So it will only be one day at the Canyon for me as i train out of here tomorrow morning at 05H00 heading for Illinois. From there I bus down to another town in Illinois and then Amtrak down to Dallas. I am hoping to change my tickets to stop over in Texarkana where Shara's brother and oldest daughter Jennifer and their respective families stay. It would be great to meet them all, having chatted to most of them on the internet chat rooms etc. So we will see what happens. I have changed the tickets already but hope they will not have an issue with me changing them again for the stop in Texarkana.
So I am realy looking forward to the Grand Canyon today and even if I dont get to take decent pictures [I have not done too good a job so far anyway] the experience alone will be well worth it. Ideally I would like to spend a week or two camping there, but i would need to retrieve my other camera's and equipment. My return trip to the states will be one of two scenario's. Come agross on a work visa and get a decent paying job for a year while i build up my funds and then tour. Or earn enough before I come back to tour immediately and take pictures the proper way. Focus on the re-selling aspect and taking good pictures.
Well the other folks are gathering for the tour so I am going to close off and post this onto the blog, till later chow for now....
